Ken Arena has been a tax practitioner since 1975. He operated his Grand Island, NY practice from 1975-1995. He joined the Accounting Faculty of Martin College (NC) in 1996 before relocating to Brandon, Florida with his family in 1997. Ken was a tax manager with the Trust Department of Bank of America before opening his Brandon, FL office.
Ken has been described as being able to explain complicated tax laws in easy-to-understand language that every day people can understand.
Ken believes that every taxpayer is entitled to use the authority of the tax code and corresponding court decisions to pay the lowest tax possible. This is called tax avoidance.
Education:
B.S. Business Administration, State University of New York at Buffalo (1968).
M.B.A. (Concentration in Accounting), State University of New York at Buffalo (1973).
Ken attends summer and fall tax conferences across the nation to stay current on changing tax laws.
Military:
Served honorably in the United States Air Force as a commissioned officer. He served at several stateside locations, Southeast Asia (Vietnam Veteran), and several European locations. Honorably discharged in 1971 as a Captain.
